I am happy to say that Cristina is back with more terrific Moldovan wine-

She is going to open two of my favorites from

 Chateau Vartely-

Since Rose' is the hottest wine category in the world right now-thank heaven, because they are delightful-I had to try one from my favorite new wine region so I chose Chateau Vartely's Rose of Malbec and Syrah. What a treat! This is a crisp, refreshing Rose with aromas of strawberries and cherries and a beautiful salmon color. It has fruit but isn't sweet-it's off-dry. The flavors are watermelon, grapefruit, and berries with a dry finish. It is quite well balanced, the varieties that make the blend

are wisely chosen: the Syrah adds body and structure, while Malbec adds that little extra character. Overall the wine feels  very light, fresh and crisp - you can really smell the summer in the glass. This is exactly why we love wines after all - they trigger good memories and feelings.

Priced at only $8.99-get some to share!

I chose to open the Cabernet Sauvignon as well-

This is a big wine at a small price-just what Cabernet lovers want-deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant,  tobacco leaf, dark spices and cedarwood. This is one good red with steaks or kebabs. Fire up the grill and open one of these beauties- let spring begin!! Priced at $10.99-a terrific value!

I am sure that she will also open other great wines as well, she usually has quite a few to share and she is very interesting to talk to, so stop in and say hi and try great wine on Friday between 2-7pm.
