Moms show their love all year long

so be sure to show your love on her special day!

Make her Mother's Day extra special this year. We have some spectacular wines to choose from that are sure to put a smile on Mom's face!

On Friday I will open several lovely summer wines-

Hecht-Bannier Rose' is one of my favorite dry roses'.

It's a charmer! Pale pink color, sunny fruit aromas and fresh, crisp flavors of strawberries and cherries. I just love it! I think your Mom will too. Only $17.99.

Gemma di Luna Pinot Grigio

A beautiful clear, gold color. Fruity aromas of white peaches and mangos with a satiny, crisp, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, medium-length sweet yogurt, lime zest, and underripe strawberry finish with soft, fruit tannins and no oak. A friendly Pinot Grigio with elegant, plush fruit and one of the most beautiful packages I've seen! The bottle is the color of this email-a beautiful teal blue! Beautiful wine in a beautiful bottle at a beautiful price-$12.99! Moms will love it!

If Mom enjoys red wine you can please her with a bottle of Cuma Organic Malbec from Argentina. It was a favorite at wine class earlier this week. A classic Malbec, earthy and dry with softer tannin and good structure. Great with all kinds of food as we found out in class. It's organic too! Only $13.99-Wow!

So whether it's pink, white or red wine Mom wants-we have you covered. Stop in on Friday for the tasting between 2-7pm.

A great side dish, to go with anything you grill on Mothers Day, or any other day, is Mexican Rice...spicey without being hot....yum!!

2 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 cups long-grain rice

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

2 cups water

1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chiles

1 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup shredded Cheddar

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the rice, onion, peppers, and garlic. Cook until the rice is browned and vegetables are tender. Stir in the water, tomatoes, chili powder, and salt and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, until the rice is tender, about 15 to 17 minutes. Stir in the cheese and transfer to a serving bowl.

This week- Two Brothers "In the Flesh" Pomegranate Sour Ale

A sour ale re-fermented with real mango. Brewed with a Two Brother's house ale yeast, In The Flesh series strives to provide drinkable fruit sours that offer the perfect balance between sweet and tart. Sometimes its' good to be sour. Come in and try a sip of this refreshing beer on Friday.

If you're a Mom I wish you a very happy Mother's Day!

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate you !!
